Romantic Strawberry Galette

Ingredients:
• 2 premade pie crusts
• 4 cups of strawberries
• 1/3 cup of sugar, plus a pinch to sprinkle
• 1 egg
• 1/2 teaspoon of water
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF and allow the pie crusts to thaw to room temperature if frozen.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. Put the strawberries in a bowl with the sugar and stir until coated.
4. Unroll the pie crusts and place them side by side on a the baking sheet. Put half of the strawberries in the center of each crust.
5. Begin to fold the crust over the center, leaving a window in the middle showing the strawberries. Pinch the seams, adding a little water if necessary.
6. Beat the egg with the water and brush it over the crusts. Sprinkle the crusts with a bit of sugar.
7. Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and cooked through.
8. Allow to cool, and enjoy! Tip: drizzle with chocolate if desired.
